EPFL-Tower in Hong-Kong

The project is a Tower in kai-Taki port of Hong-Kong. The tower is a multifunctional tower including apartments, hotel, cruise terminal, shopping center, offices, galleries and restaurants.
The final project is four towers which were connected by a double skin and covered by a third skin. The base design of tower is a module by two square which is became a star. This star was rotated and scaled to construct each floor. In all the four towers the dimension of star is different but from the first floor to the last one it became small and smaller. The rotation and scale give the opportunity to have a balcony on each floor and different views. Three of four towers have interior courtyard used as an interior garden, which was located depend on sun orientation.
To connect these four towers, three skins were used. The first and second skin create a connection area between towers also in higher floors and the third skin give a uniform Tower from these four towers. The skins were done by patterns which can give us a pretty light while passing the connection area between towers. The first and second towers has different patterns to give a pretty playing of light and shadows.
